I downloaded all the information for 30 Days Wild after remembering it last week but we haven’t been able to do something everyday. We’ve had loads of rain and some days Jack just didn’t feel like it. I think we will make it more of an all summer project. The wet weather has also delayed the summer house project which has been disapointing. We have had a look online for some big cushions, bean bags and other options for inside and settled on a futon and some large outdoor bean bags so they can be used in the garden as well.

Jack has been taking lots of pictures of the veggie garden for his gardening journal and he and Rowan have been eating the strawberries as they turn ripe! Some of the carrots and spring onions look about ready to harvest now and all the herbs are flourishing. I bought a few trays of reduced pansies in Tesco a few months back, mostly as Toby loves eating them and they have done so well considering they were half dead when I got them. THey are still growing and flowering now and are mostly a lovely purple colour. The bulbs Jack and I planted a few years ago have all been up and died off again.

Jack was really happy to find out that there was a Pokemon Trading Card group nearby and went for the first time on Saturday. He had a great time and even got some free cards and made some trades with others there. A definate hit 🙂 He did have a bit of an meltdown later on in the day but I suspect that was mostly over-excitement and stimulation from the loud group.

Our Mystery Science mystery this week was all about clouds, rain and storms. Jack found it really interesting and has been telling me all about the cloud types and checking outside to see which are in the sky ever since. He wants it to be foggy now so that he can touch cloud. I was surprised to find that our Art Ventures subcription has run out, the year has gone so fast. It is well worth the renewal cost as Jack gets a lot of use out of it. I have bought another of the Exploring Great Artists eBooks from Pink and Green Mama and we’ll be getting started on that on Friday. The last one we had showed Jack all sorts of new techniques and ideas for his drawing and art so I hope he will like this one as much. I’m looking forward to the Piet Mondrian project  and will be having a go at that one myself 🙂
