I am trying to make it a habit to blog weekly, though I have tried before and failed… It isn’t particually so lots of people can read or follow (although that is great too :)) but more as a record of what we have been getting up to and for Jack as he gets older. I have a reminder set on my phone which normally works pretty well at keeping things going.

This week Jack has been along to a kids club in Godalming and really enjoyed that. Just recently he has been interested in spending more time with other children around his own age, whereas before I alwsy found he was more drawn to anyone much younger or older. They have a Lego club as well so of course he is interested in going along to that as well. It has rained a lot here this week and last night was especially bad and with thunder and lightening too. When I looked out of the window it has like a waterfall was outside as the rain was so heavy, the guttering was constantly overflowing! So, we haven’t been out much but the veggies are doing great and so far we have harvested some strawberries, raspberries, broad beans and carrots.

On Wednsday Jack spent almost all day outside helping to build the summer house. He’s chuffed to bits that he put one of the windows in by himself. Emily and I painted the outside and hopefully tomorrow we can get to B&Q for some vinyl tiles for the floor. Jack made an awesome Mondrian inspired picture today which we are going to frame and put up on one of the walls too. The bean bags for inside arrived but are piled on the sofa for now.

Mondrian meets Pokemon (the colours are from the names of the first gen games, rather than Modrians choice of red, yellow and blue.)
We are going to a handfasting on Saturday and it would be good finish the summer house inside on Sunday so hopefully we will get some dry weather for the weekend, even if it isn’t especially warm.
