Yesterday we went to Merrow Downs for the first time. We saw lots of dogs and took photos of plants and other interesting things. Jack spotted what he thought were apples laying in the grass, but they turned out to be walnuts!
We collected some leaves and then photocopied them using the printer. Some were copied on coloured paper. The ink started to run out which made some interesting effects on the print so we deided to use them anyway.
Miles stayed over this week and we had fun playing games, trampolining and going on Prodigy together.
The Spectrum had a number of bouncy castle parties over the summer holiday. we went to two of these and the second had some excellently fun bikes too!
I really like the idea of the tuff spot trays but by the time I knew much about them I felt Jack wouldn’t get that much use from one. Now Rowan likes painting and drawing and it being great for sensory play it seemed like a good investment. The first one I ordered was unfortunatly damaged in the post but now we have a new one that is getting lots of use.
Gluten, dairy and egg free bread
Today we made an island from newspaper and tissue. Just waiting for the paint to dry and then we can add the finishing touches and some dragons.
Jack loves the game Dragon City at the moment. We made some clay dragon eggs, this is for a star dragon. The inside is a polystyrene form, then we smoothed air dry clay over the top before decorating.
